SuperEnalotto

There is only one big risk you should avoid and that’s the risk of doing nothing and not taking your chance. So, why not take your chance and get a lottery ticket? You can never win if you never play.

SuperEnaLotto is an Italian lottery which has been played since December 1997. It has a reputation for offering jackpots that are among the largest in the world. Back in 1997, the lottery was only open to Italian players, but soon it has been expanded to include people from all over the world. The possibility of playing the lottery online has widened the opportunity to win the enormous weekly jackpot to everyone no matter where they are. As a result of this, the size of the jackpots themselves has increased as well.

A tickets costs one Euro for two tries. The object of SuperEnaLotto is to match 6 numbers out of 90. Should a ticket holder be lucky enoug to match all of them, the jackpot is his. And it’s not small. SuperEna jackpots have the ability to grow immensely because there is no cap on the amount of times they can roll over before a winner is announced. The lottery is also appealing to players because winnings are not taxed and jackpot winners have the option for a lump sum or annuity payment. The largest jackpot up to this day was worth a mind blowing €177,800,000 won by an Italian szndicate of 70 players.

Besides the jackpot, SuperEnalotto has five prize categories that players can win. The “Jolly” number gives an additional chance to those who have matched 5 numbers. If they also match the “Jolly” number, they’ll win a higher “5+1” prize. The “Jolly”  number only affects the second prizes and not the jackpot. The “SuperStar” number is an additional number which costs extra to play. It is drawn in a separate draw independently from the 6 main numbers and the “Jolly” number. This means that the “SuperStar”  number may be the same as another winning number. Matching it can increase the prize money by up to 100-fold or pay out a fixed amount even if the player fails to match any of the six main numbers. A plazer has to match at least 3 numbers in order to win some sort of cahs prize.

As with all other global lotteries it is worth at least understanding the odds of winning a prize in the SuperEnalotto draw. The odds of winning these fabulous jackpots are amongst the worst on offer by any lottery. The reason for these odds is the fact that the players have to match 6 numbers out of a possible 90. The odds of matching all 6 numbers and hitting the jackpot are 1 in 622,614,630. The oddds of matching 5 numbers + the Jolly Number are 1 in 103,769,105, while matching  5 numbers without the Jolly Number are 1 in 1,250,230. The odds of hitting  4 numbers are 1 in 11,907 and the odds of hitting  3 are 1 in 327.

The last draw took place on March 7th with the winning line of 26, 36, 56, 68, 73 and 81, with the Jolly number 62 and SuperStar number 5 for the jackpot of €7,000,000. Ready to get your ticket?
